Beginner Hammock Essentials
- 10-11 ft gathered‑end hammock: Roomier and allows a flatter diagonal lay which is perfect for beginners.
- Tree‑friendly straps: Wide webbing (at least 1 inch) protects trees and makes setup knot‑free.
- Bug protection: Integrated bug net or 360° add‑on net keeps mosquitoes away.
- Rain fly tarp: Hex or rectangle tarp sized to cover hammock ends by 8-12 inches.
- Underquilt or sleeping pad: Keeps your back warm at night. Underquilts are best, but pads work too.
- Top quilt or sleeping bag: Adds warmth and comfort for overnight hangs
