Time to put the 0° and maybe 20° quilts away. Fluff up the 30° and 40• quilts.
Yeah, the weather is improving, so this is a good remined to start planning for a weekend getaway somewhereAh, 'tis the time when sleeping outdoors becomes fun - waking up to some degree of warmth. Unfortunately, in beautiful Central Oregon, the wise city fathers feel it's time for "controlled burns," which start the mornings with an air quality index of around 250 to 350. Very unhealthy. Not something I'd want to spend hours sleeping in.
When I moved here decades ago, we didn't have controlled burns. And any wildfires spread, not by ground cover, but by winds blowing the fire from canopy to canopy.
Anyway, time to get the gear out. Make sure you have guyout stakes, tree straps and suspension lines, a "kit" you can grab and go when the whimsy hits.
