First time hammock camping with dog

I'm giving hammock camping a shot for the first time this season and bringing my dog with me. I've got the essentials, hammock, bug net, tarp, but I'm not sure how to ensure a comfy night for both of us. Do people usually let their dogs sleep under the tarp, up in the hammock, or do they bring along a separate pad for them? I'd really appreciate any tips from those who have experience with this

If your dog gets antsy, try giving them their own space. A lightweight dog tent or bivy can give them a safe, comfy den. Just be sure it has good airflow and keeps the bugs out.

If I were you, try practicing with your dog at home or in the backyard first. Get them used to the hammock before your trip. Don't forget a towel and paw wipes because muddy paws + hammock fabric = chaos 😆
