Swinging into 2026

Hey hangers!

I spent all of 2025 claiming I’d get out for more overnights. But somehow I ended up doing more “couch camping” than actual camping. So for 2026, I’m setting a real goal: at least 10 hammock trips, rain, shine, or whatever the weather gods throw at me.

How about you? Lighter gear, more miles, or just more naps in the backyard?

More miles for me! Hammocks make it easier since you don’t need flat ground, so I’m hoping to squeeze in a few mid‑week overnights. If I hit five, I’ll call it a win.

I’m focusing on lighter gear. switching to whoopie slings alone can shave a few ounces, and it’s a fun excuse to fiddle with my setup. Maybe I’ll even get brave enough for a winter hang.

I’m planning fewer gadgets and more simplicity this year. Lighter pack, happier shoulders.
