I'm in the market for a new hammock and I am hoping to get some recommendations. There are so many brands out there and it's tough to know which one to pick. I want something that is comfortable, durable, and won't break the bank. What brand do you think makes the best hammocks?

Angry Big Bird, welcome to the forum. How big is your "bank". Also, you can get some excellent deals by buying well-maintained used gear. Probably half my quilts were bought on For Sale hammock forums and they were all like new.

Tells us a little more about your previous camping experience, where you plan to camp and in what seasons (temperature range). Also your size. As you can imagine, a person 6ft + and 225 lbs and different gear concerns than someone 5' 7" and 170 lbs.

my favorites are ENO (Eagle Nest Outfitters) or Grand Trunk, they stuff down small, dry lightning fast, and are built to last forever. You can often grab their entry level models on sale for a great deal!

We got a Gold Armour hammock for under $40 and it’s been great for the kids and me. Lightweight but strong. Do you need it for camping or just backyard lounging?

Glad you made it, Angry Big Bird. Half my setup came from secondhand deals and it’s held up well. Are you camping in humid summer zones or cooler shoulder seasons? Knowing your build and trip style helps us suggest gear that won’t sag or leave you cold at 3 a.m.
