Hey, I'm trying to get some scouts ready for their first backpacking trip, but I'm on a tight budget. I found Wise Owl hammocks, which seem like they'd work price-wise, but I'm wondering if they're tough enough. Has anyone actually used these for camping overnight? I need something that won't break the bank but will hold up well.

Wise Owl hammocks are good for beginners, durable parachute nylon, triple stitched, and can hold up to 500 lbs. Plenty of people use them for overnight camping, and they're budget friendly

Wise owl is okay like @thementalmechanic said but don’t expect the same durability or fancy features of premium brands, but for beginner scouts on a budget it’s okay

Glad you’re getting the scouts out there. Wise Owl hammocks are popular for a reason. They’re strong enough for overnight use and pack down small. What kind of terrain or weather are you expecting on the trip?
