Huge Shout-Out to Dutchware Gear!

Just had to share some love for Dutchware Gear. their service is seriously top notch, and their stuff is awesome.

I feel like I need to share this experience. My partner and I had a trip planned for this weekend and needed a Half Wit Hammock ASAP.

Emailed them last Thursday, and Dutch himself quickly replied, saying they had a backlog but would get it done in time. I even asked if I could pick it up since I'm near Lancaster, and he said no problem.

Got the email today, picked up my order, and Dutch even gave me a quick tour of their (soon to be expanded) facility. Super cool to see!
If you're into hammocking, definitely check out their site. Besides my new hammock, I grabbed some Hangles, quilt hooks, and quilt hangers.
Oh, and some powdered butter from their new food line. Can't wait to try it all this weekend!

Awesome you got the Half Wit in time. Curious if you went with the Hexon 1.6 or something lighter for your setup, and how the quilt hangers worked with your insulation? I've been thinking of upgrading mine before fall rolls in.

It's awesome you got to meet Dutch and tour the place and their Half Wit is a good hammock, and the little extras like hangles and quilt hooks always come in handy

Dutchware's gear isn't actually that special, people just love the small-business vibe and personal service. Plenty of bigger brands offer equal or better quality without the cottage-industry price markup.

Which "bigger brands" have equal or better quality? Been living in a hammock full time for several years (in the states) and I've been had pressed to find better gear than some of the Hammock Camping specific, cottage venders. I'd be very interested to know of other sources.
