Hammocks in the desert

Hey everyone!

Recently switched from bivy camping to hammocks. Curious how others adapt setups for shade and comfort in arid zones. Excited to be here.

LowTech will probably chime in - he camps in the desert all the time. The question is, how are you getting to your camp destination? Are you driving up, or do you have to carry your "solution" for miles and miles?

Ok, I'm back. Doesn't look like Trailswing5 stayed around, that was his only day on the forum.
Anyway . . .
So if anyone actually has a desire to desert hammock camp, it is possible and I do it full time.
Out of a backpack would be challenging but I bikepack, kayak camp, and vehicle camp w/ a hammock in pretty much ever type of desert environment.
